Course runs for four consequtive days from 9am until 2pm. Course cost $330 for the four days. The kids sail in boats in pairs taking turns for 20 hours of structured sailing with qualified Yachting Australia Tackers Instructors & Assistant Instructors - all equipment provided and no sailing experience needed.

Tackers is aimed at providing kids aged 7-12 with a fun, safe, and affordable way to get into sailing. Tackers 1 introduces children to the basics of sailing through games on and off the water.

Students should wear clothes and shoes that can get wet and bring a dry set to change into after the class. Bring a hat and towel and make sure the kids have on plenty of sunscreen because the sun can be quite harsh on the water. A packed morning tea, Lunch and water bottle is also essential, just like a day at school. The club provides lifejackets and all boats and equipment for the classes.

The Tackers Programme is offered by Humpybong Yacht Club as a Tackers Centre serving the northern suburbs of Brisbane and the Redcliffe area.
