Thank you for your interest in Optimist Green Fleet at Humpybong.

To introduce the concepts and details to your family we have organised a welcome to Green Fleet day at Humpybong this Sunday starting at 9am. Our plan for the morning is to for the kids to meet some of the other Green Fleeters and for you to meet some of the other parents. 

While the kids get to know their new friends and get a rundown on the boats we will be using, we will gather the parents upstairs in the clubhouse to go through some grown-ups business. Topics we will go through includes club membership, leasing or buying a boat, training, club racing and events both at Humpybong and elsewhere in the state.

Once the kids have rigged a few boats, if the weather is suitable, we will try to put some marks out to let them have a quick sail the get to know each other. There is club racing later in the day which some of the more experienced sailors will hang around for but we don’t expect the kids to get into this on day one.
