Round 2 (Round 1 was cancelled) was sailed in 10 to 15kts with a fairly severe chop. We had 12 yachts including three juniors in Lasers for the first race. Unfortunately one was distracted and headed off to try to beat the modern record equivalent of how many people you can fit into a phone box .... how many teens can you fit into a Laser before it loses all freeboard?
Pistol Pete remembered his centerboards this week and after a late start in race 1 due to sail issues, he finished the day with a third and two bullets in Div 1. It was good to see the A Class boys out again; great sailing and not a jelly in sight; NOTE!
In Div 4, Andrew Ringwood took out the day with three bullets; we need the full fleet to get on the water to prevent a whitewash. Tim Williams in his Impulse was right up Andrew's clacker in all three races with Ian Ferrier close behind. There was some real class sailing in Div 4.

It was really great to see the junior sailors in the Lasers mixing it wit the senors. there were great efforts from James and Dereck and especially pleasing was the encouragement and coaching support from the senior sailors.
Thanks to all the volunteers who turned up to tidy the yard before the race and then set everything up for the sailing. Special thanks to Leon, the two Bobs and Mark for setting the course and running the races.
