Your Discover Sailing journey continues as you master all of the fundamental dinghy sailing skills. You are now equipped to sail your dinghy on your own voyages of discovery.

The course is run over four consecutive Saturdays using three man RS Quest and Corsair dinghies, and two man Pacer and Vagabond dinghies. Advanced students may have access to one man Lasers. Only $330 for 4 days.

Students aged from 11 onwards gain more confidence in the sailing of a dinghy and at completion of the program you will have the skills to take out one of our boats on your own.

Activities covered on the program include:

• rigging of the boat
• capsize recovery in deeper water
• sailing a triangular course
• basic sailing rules and
• sailing theory

Course Overview
This course equips participants with boat rigging knowledge and sailing skills to sail a dinghy on their own. 

Course Prerequisites

Water confident, and the skills and knowledge gained in Start Sailing 1.

Who should do this course?

This course is designed for participants who have completed Start Sailing 1 and are wanting to learn and continue to develop their fundamental sailing skills.

Course Outcome

You will gain your Start Sailing 2 completion certificate.
