Optimists Series Results
The season the Championship will be divided into three series; Spring, Summer and Autumn.
Spring – 12 races over 4 days

Autumn – 18 races over 6 days

Each of the series will be run as a distinct event with trophies awarded for each event.
We run three divisions in each event –
Fast Cats | Not-so-fast Cats | Dinghies
We will award prizes in each series for first in each division with a prize giving at the end of each series after the completion of racing. Points from an event are only scored where a boat has boat has started half the races of an event. Points will apply to advantage those who do start boat roster duty.
At the end of the season each division will have a Club Champion awarded on the basis of points scored across all three events. A boat must have scored points in all three events to be considered for overall Champion. In this way we are encouraging competitors to turn up across the season and we are most likely recognising the boat best able to sail across all conditions.
