It is with sadness that I that I am writing advise members that a stalwart of the Humpybong Yacht Club passed on Monday this week.
Up until the last two years Graham was a regular sight at the club, living most of his Sundays in the Committee room manning the radio and looking after the sailing fees and clubhouse while everyone was out sailing. More recently he was an occasional sight on his scooter in and around the clubhouse offering help. He was a regular at the AGM.
Originally a keen sailor out of the City of Sails, Graham has stuck to the Club through all the difficult years and the development of the Club as we know it today. He was prepared to chip in and carry out everything from manning the start boat to club maintenance.
Graham was also the person who collated the Club history booklet that was floating around the Club a few years ago and that we are looking to resurrect at the moment
In recognition of his service to the Club Graham was elected a Life member and you will see his name three up from the bottom of the left hand column on the Honour Board.
Our sympathies go out to his family.
